Law enforcement officers detained two individuals involved in the explosion that occurred late in the evening on April 13 in Brovary, Kyiv region. This incident has already been classified as a terrorist act (Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This was reported by UNN with reference to the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Kyiv Region.

According to the investigation, the explosion occurred near one of the private houses around 10:00 PM on April 13. A 36-year-old man who was nearby sustained minor injuries.
The explosive device was placed near the fence and detonated by a phone call. A mobile device for recording the terrorist act was attached to a street light pole. Thanks to coordinated efforts, law enforcement officers quickly detained two individuals.

One of the detainees was a 23-year-old local resident who was responsible for online communication. The other was a 17-year-old resident of Chernivtsi region – he planted the explosive device. He was detained at a train station in Vinnytsia region, from where he intended to travel abroad.
During searches after the detention, phones, SIM cards of mobile operators, explosive components, and electric matches were seized from the suspects. As investigators established, the detainees acted on the orders of Russian special services – for this, they were promised monetary remuneration.
The sanction of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for imprisonment from 5 to 12 years, or life imprisonment.
