Tuapse oil refinery halted operations after drone attack on April 16 – Reuters

Дата:

The Tuapse oil refinery in Russia, which operates primarily for export, has almost completely ceased operations after a drone attack on April 16. This was reported by Reuters, citing sources, writes UNN.

Details

According to Russian officials, attacks on April 16 and 20 on the city of Tuapse on the Black Sea coast damaged the port's transport infrastructure and caused a fire at oil product warehouses.

The publication's interlocutors noted that the plant was stopped because the fire in the port made it impossible to ship products. They did not specify when operations could resume.

Rosneft, which owns the plant, did not respond to a request for comment.

The Tuapse oil refinery, with a capacity of about 12 million tons per year (or approximately 240 thousand barrels per day), produces oil, diesel fuel, fuel oil, and vacuum gas oil.

Recall

On April 16, the Defense Forces attacked the Tuapse oil refinery, Buk, Pantsir, and Osa complexes. UAV control points and areas of concentration of occupiers in several zones were hit.
