The National Bank of Ukraine is issuing a commemorative coin "Ukrainian Cotton. Palyanytsia Drone Missile" with a face value of 5 hryvnias. It is dedicated to the first domestic long-range weapon system with a turbojet engine.
Today, the commemorative coin "Ukrainian Cotton. Palianytsia Drone Missile" is being put into circulation in Ukraine, UNN reports with reference to the NBU.
Context
The "Palianytsia" drone missile is the first domestic long-range weapon system with a turbojet engine, designed for high-precision strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine against strategic targets deep in the enemy's rear.
It is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 650 km, effectively overcoming air defense systems due to its low flight altitude (from 15 to 500 m) and speed of up to 900 km/h.
"Palianytsia" is not only an example of modern military technology that demonstrates Ukraine's ability to find innovative solutions, quickly scale them, and apply them where they have the greatest strategic effect, but also a symbol of national defense power, Ukrainian ingenuity, and invincibility, forged in the struggle for freedom, the NBU emphasized.

What does the coin look like?
The coin "Ukrainian Cotton. Palianytsia Drone Missile" has a denomination of 5 hryvnias.
Its obverse depicts a stylized silhouette of the "Palianytsia" drone missile striking an enemy serpent.
The reverse of the coin depicts an attack by a Ukrainian long-range drone missile on a fuel and energy complex facility of the aggressor country. At the top is the inscription PALIANYTSIA.
